DANCE OF THE SHORELINES
Dance of The Shorelines, documented in Dar es Salaam, observes the intricate interplay between community, nature, and cultural memory along some of the city’s threatened
shorelines. This work explores the shoreline as a third place—a communal space where the
rhythms of life and nature converge. While the series celebrates the vibrant energy of these spaces, it subtly acknowledges the looming threats of sand mining and coastal gentrification, inviting reflection on the potential impermanence of these cherished environments.
