The Griot’s Helmet is a speculative docu-fiction series rooted in the themes of Ruins of the Present, following a griot who uses a technologically advanced mnemonic relic—a helmet—to travel through timelines, collecting and retelling fragmented stories about communities and environmental changes. When the griot arrives in Sasa, a world dominated by extractive practices, a malfunction in the helmet caused by overwhelming urban noise traps them in this timeline.
