BIO.
Noah Misan Okwudini is an antidisciplinary artist, writer, and futures synthesist. He believes in the power of community and the potential to co-create desirable futures through experimental art thinking, which informs his inquiry process. Working across photography, text, mixed media, and time-based formats, Noah’s practice bridges the documentation of present realities with speculative exploration, blending the preservation of intangible cultural heritage with forward-looking, imaginative frameworks. As a musician, he performs under the moniker XO Dini, another dimension to his exploration of sound and storytelling. His work engages both the seen and the unseen, mapping out social and ecological narratives while investigating alternate scenarios.
Noah was part of the Goethe Institut’s inaugural Dreaming New Worlds cohort, a project designed to explore emerging technologies for cultural integration and to highlight the pivotal role artists play in shaping contemporary technological landscapes. As part of his collective, Ala Praxis, he was a recipient of the S+T+ARTS4Africa residency grant, a pilot initiative by the EU promoting innovation at the intersection of science, technology and arts rooted in African experiences. His work blends the scientific with the mythical, the remembered with the speculative, as he interrogates the flux of African culture, technology, memory, and space-time.
